This Privacy Policy explains how SimionVR ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our application on the Meta Quest platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Platform Information When you use SimionVR, we receive certain information from Meta's platform in order to operate the app, including your Meta user ID, display name, and avatar.

Friends List With your permission, we access your Meta friends list to power social features such as friends-based leaderboards, displaying friends you can invite to a game room, and matching you with people you know.

Multiplayer & Gameplay Data We use Photon/PlayFab to power real-time multiplayer sessions. This includes information needed to connect you to game rooms, match you with other players, and maintain session state (such as your in-game position, actions, and room membership) while you play.

Device Information We collect device identifiers to support anti-cheat and community safety systems. This allows us to enforce bans against devices associated with confirmed violations of our Terms of Service (such as cheating, exploiting, or harassment), even if a new account is created.

In-App Purchase Data If you make a purchase through In-App Purchases (IAP), we receive transaction information (such as the item purchased and purchase status) needed to deliver your cosmetic items and Leaves currency. Payment processing itself is handled by Meta's platform; we do not directly collect or store your payment card details.

Leaderboard & Progression Data We store gameplay statistics (such as Leaves earned, rankings, and mode-specific stats) to power leaderboards and track your progress across game modes (Tag, PvP, Horror, and others).

Discord If you choose to join our community Discord server, any information you share there is subject to Discord's own privacy policy and our community's server rules, not this policy.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Operate core gameplay, matchmaking, and multiplayer sessions

• Power social features like leaderboards and friend invites

• Process In-App Purchases and deliver purchased content

• Detect and enforce action against cheating, exploits, and Terms of Service violations, including device bans

• Maintain and improve the game, including new modes, maps, and features

• Communicate with players about updates, events, or support

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Share Information

We share information with:

• Meta, as the platform provider, in accordance with Meta's own data policies

• Photon and PlayFab, our multiplayer backend providers, solely to enable real-time gameplay

• Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., hosting, analytics), under confidentiality obligations

• Law enforcement or other parties, only where required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of our community

4. Data Retention

We retain gameplay, account, and device data for as long as necessary to operate the app, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations. Device ban records may be retained indefinitely to prevent repeat abuse.

5. Your Choices

• You can decline to grant the Friends permission, though this will limit access to friends-based leaderboards and invites.

• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us using the information below, subject to what Meta's platform allows us to control directly.

6. Children's Privacy

SimionVR is not directed at children under the age required by Meta's platform policies, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.

SimionVR Terms of Service

Welcome to SimionVR. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SimionVR (the "App"), including all game modes, features, cosmetics, currency ("Leaves"), and community services. By downloading, installing, or playing SimionVR, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age requirements set by Meta's platform to create an account and use SimionVR. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you are responsible for their compliance with these Terms.

2. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SimionVR for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You may not:

• Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App, except where permitted through official creator tools

• Distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the App or its content

• Use the App to build a competing product

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. In-Game Currency and Purchases

• Leaves are a virtual currency usable only within SimionVR. Leaves have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable between accounts.

• In-App Purchases (IAP) allow you to purchase Leaves or cosmetic items directly. All purchases are final except where required otherwise by law or Meta's platform refund policies.

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Leaves, cosmetics, or any purchasable content at any time, including balancing changes or retiring specific items.

5. User-Generated Content and Creator Tools

If you use our creator tools to build or submit content (maps, modes, or other assets):

• You retain ownership of your original content, but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, and feature your content within SimionVR

• You represent that your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party

• We reserve the right to remove, reject, or moderate any submitted content at our discretion, including content that violates our Code of Conduct

• We reserve the right to feature creator content in promotional materials with appropriate credit

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use cheats, hacks, aimbots, movement exploits, or unauthorized third-party software

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players

• Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage

• Attempt to circumvent bans, including through alternate accounts or devices

• Impersonate other players, staff, or moderators

• Upload or share content that violates our Code of Conduct

Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account bans, and/or device bans, at our discretion, without refund of any purchased content.

7. Enforcement and Bans

We use device identifiers to help enforce bans and prevent repeat violations from new accounts. Device bans may be issued alongside account bans for serious or repeated violations. We aim to enforce these Terms fairly but reserve final discretion in all moderation decisions.

8. Multiplayer Services

SimionVR uses third-party services, including Photon and PlayFab, to provide real-time multiplayer functionality. Your gameplay data is processed through these services as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by these third-party providers.

9. Disclaimers

SimionVR is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of virtual currency, cosmetics, or account access.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to SimionVR at any time for violations of these Terms or our Code of Conduct. You may stop using the App at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

SimionVR Code of Conduct

SimionVR is built for players who want to move, compete, and hang out — in-game and on our Discord. This Code of Conduct applies everywhere our community exists: in-game (Tag, PvP, Horror, and any other mode), voice/text chat, our Discord server, and any creator-submitted content.

1. Our Core Rules

Respect other players. No harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or targeted abuse of any kind, whether based on someone's identity, background, appearance, or anything else.

No cheating. Aimbots, movement exploits, hacked clients, or any unauthorized third-party software are not allowed in any game mode. This includes exploiting bugs for unfair advantage.

Keep it appropriate. No sexual content, graphic violence, or content intended to shock or disturb, including in avatars, cosmetics, voice chat, or usernames.

No impersonation. Don't impersonate SimionVR staff, moderators, other players, or public figures.

Play fair in creator content. If you build or submit content through our creator tools, it must follow this same Code of Conduct — no offensive, exploitative, or rule-breaking maps, modes, or assets.

Protect the community. Don't share other players' personal information (doxxing), organize harassment campaigns, or encourage others to break these rules.

No account or ban evasion. Creating alternate accounts or switching devices to get around a ban is a violation on its own, separate from whatever got you banned in the first place.

2. Specific to Voice & Social Features

• Be mindful in voice chat — what feels like a joke to you can be genuinely harmful to someone else.

• Friend and room invite features are for building your own communities, not for spamming or unwanted contact.

• Leaderboards and rankings are meant for friendly competition — don't use them as a platform for targeting or mocking other players.

3. Enforcement

Violating this Code of Conduct may result in:

• A warning

• Temporary mute, chat restriction, or matchmaking suspension

• Temporary or permanent account ban

• Device ban, for serious or repeated violations

We review reports and evidence (including screenshots or recordings, where available) before taking action. Purchased Leaves or cosmetics are not refunded in the event of a ban resulting from a Code of Conduct violation.

4. Reporting

If you experience or witness a violation:

• Use the in-game report feature, if available, on the offending player

• Report the issue in our Discord server to a moderator

Please include as much detail as possible (player name, mode, time, and screenshots/recordings if you have them) to help us investigate quickly.

5. A Note on Enforcement Discretion

This Code of Conduct can't list every possible bad behavior. Our moderation team uses judgment to address conduct that clearly goes against the spirit of these rules, even if it isn't explicitly listed above.

6. Changes to This Code of Conduct

We may update this Code of Conduct as our community and game modes evolve. Continued participation in SimionVR or our Discord after changes take effect means you accept the updated rules.
